The excellence achieved by Gimap in making scissors and cutting tools is the result of an uninterrupted research and a continuous effort to grant excellent quality products.

All articles are actually made of C50 CARBON STEEL or AISI 420 and 440 STAINLESS STEEL.

STAINLESS STELL AISI 420 and 440 guarantee long life to scissors and to their use. Blades are hardened by hot treatment with chemical salts, with a minimum hardness of 52-56 HRC, that guarantees a good sharpening endurance and blade’s flexibility.

Articles made of C50 carbon steel are treated with nickel-plating instead, with minimum thickness of 10 micron.

After making the blades there’s the sharpening, that is made by hand for each single piece, even using high precision machinery.
The pieces are then assembled through a threaded screw: this way the scissors can be disassembled and sharpened once again, in order to guarantee the proper inner workings and make them reliable in time.

In the end, each product is subjected to many cleaning and grinding operations, to guarantee an excellent finishing. Gimap branded articles are made as above explained, and worked with precision and care by craftsmen, for a professiona result.
